COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police investigating reports of gunfire in a Springs neighborhood stumbled on a small meth lab inside one of the homes.
Officers had returned to the 600 block of East Boulder Street Friday to follow up on a shots-fired call from the night before. While talking to residents at one home on the block, they found a small meth lab inside a room. Multiple agencies were then called out to investigate. The people inside the home were then evacuated.
Two people in the home were wanted on unrelated felony warrants and were taken into custody. Those two people were identified as Genepeloes Johnson, 56, who was wanted on a parole violation, and David Ponti, 19, who was wanted on a felony warrant and also on charges of attempting to influence a public official.
