Colorado College president leaving to National Geographic Society in August

The current president for Colorado College will be leaving her role to pursue a new position with the National Geographic Society.
The school announced President Jill Tiefenthaler will continue leading Colorado College until August 2020 when she becomes the chief executive officer of the National Geographic Society. Tiefenthaler has been the president at CC since 2011.

CC’s Board of Trustees will determine a search process, interim leadership, and timeline in February. The board will then collaborate with campus and alumni leadership groups on the search for her replacement.
