DENVER (KKTV) - The Colorado Capitol was left in disarray after a vandal broke in late last month.

Sister station KCNC reported the vandals set off a fire alarm around 5:30 a.m. Jan. 27. Firefighters found paint splattered on the floor, signs ripped from the wall, and the remains of broken furniture and bust sculptures strewn about. Nothing was stolen.

Two weeks later, law enforcement announced Elias Dominguez had been arrested for the crime. Dominguez now faces second-degree burglary charges.

It's still unclear how he entered the building.
