COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Three crooks pistol-whipped a gas station clerk and robbed the store late Tuesday night.

"We received a panic alarm from this location here, and when we arrived, we were informed that a robbery had just occurred where three males had entered the gas station with guns and threatened the clerk, actually hit him," said Cpl. Juergen Petzl with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The robbery was reported at the Kum & Go in the 9600 block of Prominent Point just before 11:30 p.m. Police say the robbers got away with cash and some merchandise from the store.

"At this point, we don’t have anybody in custody, but we have a couple leads," Petzl said.

No information about the suspects has been released.
