EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A 4-year-old has serious injuries and a man has life-threatening injuries following a crash on Highway 94 Saturday.

Colorado State Patrol is reporting the crash happened near Page Road at about 1:30 p.m. Pancho Martinez Torbido, 26, was traveling westbound on the highway at a "high rate of speed," according to authorities. As he caught up with slower traffic, he swerved to the left and lost control of his vehicle.

The vehicle rolled multiple times before ending up on its roof, blocking both lanes of Highway 94. Torbido was not wearing his seatbelt and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 4-year-old child, who was not properly restrained according to State Patrol, had serious injuries.

It isn't clear if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, but State Patrol believes speeding may have been. The crash remains under investigation.
