COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Each year the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo does its annual weigh-in competition to guess the weight of their male moose, Tahoma's, antlers!

The zoo said the rack Tahoma shed in December 2019 weighed 25 pounds and 8 ounces.

The winner gets an animal encounter with Tahoma for four people.

To date, Tahoma's biggest set of antlers weighed a whopping 42 pounds.

Missed out on this year's weigh-in? No worries!

All male moose shed their antlers in the winter and then regrow them throughout the upcoming year; so there will be an opportunity next winter!
