COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A Snapchat video taken by a teen is inspiring change at a Colorado Springs pet store.
Cassandra Kiespert, 14, says she was just trying to take a video of the puppies at Chapel Hills Mall-based Pet City over the weekend.
"I just happened to catch [an employee] slamming the dog in the kennel door."
The video, which can be seen below, captured a worker on camera as she handled a group of golden retriever puppies.
"She slammed the dog in the door twice," Cassandra said. "And also throwing it. It hit the glass."
"The most alarming part is how she kept doing it," said 13-year-old Reyna Edling, who was with Cassandra. "It got slammed twice, and it got thrown ... three times, and she was not gentle at all."
Troubled by what they witnessed, the girls told their parents. Reyna's mother posted the video to Facebook, and it quickly went viral.
