CANON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Canon City Post Office is back open to employees after a suspicious package led to an evacuation.
Canon City Police was called around 9:20 a.m. after the package was found inside the building. An employee moved the box to the parking lot and the building evacuated. The area around the building was closed to the public as a safety precaution and the Pueblo Police Department Bomb Squad was asked to respond.
Police say the package contained a t-shirt and candy. It had no address or other information on it.
The post office resumed normal hours around 1 p.m.
