COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Just before 6:30 a.m. Friday morning, CSPD was dispatched to an auto/pedestrian accident. This happened at the 400 block of North Union Boulevard.
When officers arrived they determined that a pedestrian crossed the street without using a crosswalk. That person sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Although the investigation is ongoing, police say the pedestrian is the cause of the accident.
The road was restricted to a single southbound lane for about 3 hours but was reopened as of 10:30 a.m.
