COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Airport announced it will increase the maximum daily rate for parking lots by $1 starting Sept. 1.
The maximum prices will now be $7 for long-term parking and $9 for short-term parking.
Right now, it costs $1/hour to park in the long-term lot with a max of $6. Short-term parking costs $1/half-hour with a max of $8.
The airport said those prices were set in 1998. The increased revenue will be used for capital improvements to the parking system and maintenance costs for the parking lots, according to an airport spokesperson.
