Colorado State Patrol investigating deadly crash on I-70; expect major delays

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) -- A deadly crash has closed westbound I-70 while crews are working to investigate. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said the crash involved a semi-truck and a pickup truck.

Troopers said it happened this morning between Dowd Jct (MP 171) and Post Blvd (MP 168).

I-70 westbound is expected to be closed until 4 p.m. today for Hazmat cleanup. Crews say to use Highway 6 as an alternate route. I-70 eastbound is back open. However, CSP said to use caution and expect delays along the route.
