Social media helped track down a man that defecated on a porch overnight, reportedly seeking revenge against his ex-girlfriend's spirit.
The family at the home reached out to 11 News hoping the criminal would be caught, and it was a social media post by the family that led to a man's arrest. The incident happened at the Delmonico townhomes near I-25 and Rockrimmon.
The surveillance video shows a man peering through a window, then standing directly in front of the porch, dropping his pants and relieving himself. The man then turns around, looks at what he left behind, and put the middle finger in the air. The incident happened about 2 a.m.
"Poops right in front of the stairs, then he kinda scooted forward and looked at it," Tiffany Lanier explained after watching the video. "And started flipping off the house and you could tell that he was cussing."
No one in the Lanier family recognized the man in the high-quality surveillance footage.
"I have no idea who he is," Lanier said. "Wondering if he was drunk and went to the wrong townhome."
The act shocked the family.
"I want him to get help," Lanier said. "If you have those thoughts, there's something not right in your head.
Police tracked down 33-year-old Steven Stanulonis. He was served and released on a summons for disorderly conduct, which is a class one petty offense.
Stanulonis reportedly said his ex-girlfriend once lived at the Lanier residence when she died. He said he wanted to get revenge on her spirit.
