OTERO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Crews were battling a brush fire late Thursday night in Otero County.
The sheriff's office reported the blaze was burning south of La Junta and Highway 350. As of 10:50 p.m. authorities believed the fire had grown to about 25 acres.
The sheriff's office stated the fire was likely caused by lightning. La Junta Fire, Rocky Ford Fire and the Otero County Sheriff's Office were called to the area.
