Brush fire in Pueblo County sparked by lightning

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Crews were battling a brush fire in Pueblo County on Friday that was believe to be sparked by a lightning strike.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is reporting the blaze started near Huerfano Lake at 44th Lane and Field Road. The area is in eastern Pueblo County. The sheriff's office tweeted out the information at about 4 p.m.

Last time this article was updated the fire was about four acres in size and was not threatening any structures. The fire appeared to be out at about 7 p.m. Crews were expected to remain on scene and monitor hot spots according to the Pueblo Rural Fire Protection District.
