It was a "beary" exciting Thursday on the Springs' east side after an unexpected visitor decided to go out for a late morning stroll.

The saga unfolded over 90 minutes as the young black bear toured a neighborhood near Circle and Galley, managing to stay one step ahead of wildlife officers.

Its journey came to an end after Park and Wildlife officers cornered it in a tree and shot it with a tranquilizing dart.

Once the bear wakes up from its nap, it will be relocated in the Colorado wilderness.
