Tornado warning expired for parts of El Paso County

The warning expired at 7:15 p.m.


A tornado warning was issued for parts of El Paso County until 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The warning is for an area just northeast of Calhan.

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 644 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ramah, or 31 miles west of Limon, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has a history of producing a tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
