PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A man reportedly threatened staff members of a Pueblo medical center on Thursday.

St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center went on "controlled access" Thursday afternoon following the threats. This means there is only one entrance open to the hospital and operations are running normally inside.

Police are actively searching for the man who reportedly made the threat over the phone while trying to gain access to records. He was not a patient. When staff refused to give him the records he said something similar to, "well if I have a gun you'll listen to me."

Pueblo police announced the arrest of 35-year-old Shayne King tied to the incident. He's facing charges of extortion. Police say he's also facing new charges of cultivation of marijuana and resisting arrest.
