Sheriff's office states 'unsubstantiated rumor' at Mesa Ridge High School


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) _ 11 News received a call from a concerned parent on Friday about an alleged attack that was planned at Mesa Ridge High School. Soon after, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office posted to social media the agency has "received numerous calls regarding Mesa Ridge High School. The Sheriff's Office looked into an unsubstantiated rumor circulating around Mesa Ridge High School. The rumor was unfounded. The school is operating normally."

11 News has a call into the school district and is waiting to hear back. The tweet by the sheriff's office was posted just after 2:30 p.m. At the time this article was written there was no known danger to the public or students.
