Hit-and-run crash on southbound I-25 in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A serious crash in Colorado Springs on Friday caused major delays.

The crash happened on southbound I-25 between Garden of the Gods Road and Fillmore Street. Crews were called to the scene at about 6 p.m.

At least four vehicles were involved and at least one person was injured. Police believe this was a hit-and-run crash and were asking for the public's help in tracking down the suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was only described as a white "utility-type" van with metal mesh on the rear windows and it might have a roof rack. The van should have front-end damage and may have a "light-blue paint transfer" on it.

The highway was back open at about 8:30 p.m.
