12-year-old missing Pueblo girl found safe

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - UPDATE 5/71/9:
Police confirmed with 11 News Katie McWilliams was found safe at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday evening no one was facing charges in the missing person case. She walked home, it isn't clear if she was by herself or with someone else.

Police are searching for a 12-year-old girl after she failed to show up for school Monday morning.

The Crime Scene Investigation unit was at the girl's house Tuesday afternoon. Police said they are considering all possibilities at this point and are "covering all of their bases" because she doesn't have a history of running away. A bloodhound unit showed up and police blocked off the street just before 4 p.m.

The Pueblo Police Department says the family reported Kathryn "Katie" McWilliams missing Monday evening at about 6.

Family members tell 11 News Katie was last seen shortly after 7 a.m. Monday on her way to a bus stop at Atlanta Avenue and West 28th Street. She was wearing a black shirt with the Heroes Academy logo, black pants, and black and white shoes or brown hiking boots. She is a white female, 4-foot-8, 60 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
