Crews contain grass fire near Falcon that was threatening homes

FALCON, Colo. (KKTV) -- On Thursday, firefighters were on scene of a grass fire near Falcon.

It happened near Falcon Highway and west of Curtis Road. just before 11 a.m. There was a small outside fire, but according to the Falcon Fire Protection District it was spreading and there were several homes and structures in danger.

Crews told 11 News that the fired burned about 2.39 acres before it was eventually put out.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
