Crews were called out to battle a structure fire in Black Forest Thursday evening.

The fire was reported at about 4:15 p.m. along Stagecoach Road just to the west of Wescott Fire Station 2.

Multiple fire stations in the area provided support including Falcon and Larkspur. Crews were helping to keep the flames from spreading in the nearby brush.

According to early reports, no one was in the structure at the time of the fire. Officials with Wescott Fire confirmed the structure was a storage barn.

The fire was reportedly under control before 6 p.m.

Wescott Fire says there was no wildland fire threat as as of 5:50 p.m. and crews would remain on scene overnight monitoring the area.

The cause remains under investigation.
