Alleged bomb threat at Rocky Ford Junior/Senior High School

ROCKY FORD, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado school was evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to an alleged bomb threat.

Officials with Rocky Ford School District R-2 said they were notified of the incident at about 2:55 p.m. The school was evacuated and students were taken to the Gobin Building on North 9th Street.

Rocky Ford Police are not saying how they received the threat. The junior/senior high school was searched and released back to the district. Police say there was no immediate threat found.

Police say the school and all students are safe and accounted for.

The incident is still under investigation.
