EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Six people were taken into custody Thursday afternoon following an incident where shots were fired in El Paso County.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is reporting the incident started at about 1:34 p.m. in the area of Platte and Wooten on the east side of the city when authorities spotted a stolen vehicle. At some point the Colorado Springs Police Department was involved. The Sheriff's Office says shots were fired by the suspects.
The incident ended in the area of Cimarron Hills close to the intersection of Cree Drive and Mescalero Drive, it isn't clear if there was a chase. A police cruiser was damaged, no law enforcement officials or suspects were injured.
It isn't clear which agency will be handling the investigation. This is a developing story and if more information becomes available this article will be updated.
