Adobe Fire near Wetmore 91 acres, 95 percent contained

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Another wildfire sparked up Monday in Colorado with several others burning across the state.

The latest one, dubbed the Adobe Fire for its ignition point in the area of Adobe Creek Drive, flared up in Custer County 5 miles west of Wetmore.

Smoke was first seen around 2 p.m. Monday. At about 4 p.m. the fire was about 20 acres, according to the National Forest Service. Tuesday, that number was upped to 85 acres. By Saturday morning, the fire was 95 percent contained.

The fire was 91 acres Sunday.

All pre-evacuations were lifted by Wednesday night.

Lightning was ruled as the cause Tuesday.
