Highway 24 reopened after avalanche

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Highway 24 is reopened following a large avalanche between Minturn and Leadville Friday night.

Colorado State Patrol tweeted out the closure at about 7:30 p.m.


No one was hurt and no vehicles were trapped in the avalanche, according to 11 News partner CBS Denver.

The roadway reopened early Saturday morning.

Leadville and Minturn are both included in an avalanche warning in effect through Sunday morning.
