PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) A Pueblo woman is facing first degree murder charges. Police say she killed Parvez Daruwala in his home on the north side of Pueblo.

Arrest papers obtained by 11 News say Flores was staying with Daruwala, and that she allegedly hit him on the head with a fan and then strangled him with an electrical cord.

Daruwala was found dead in his home back on September 25th. Police went to the house after getting a welfare check. In the papers, they say officers found his body at the top of the stairs. He had a cut on his left eye and there was a towel with blood on it, and the cord was wrapped around his neck tightly.

Police determined that his wallet and other items were missing. They looked at his recent credit card transactions and saw several purchases. Through surveillance video, they were able to confirm that Flores was the one using the card.

According to the arrest papers, it says that Flores reached out to one of her friends the night of the murder and said quote, “I did something really bad, I did something horrible.” This friend told police that she thought Daruwala was letting Flores stay at his house in exchange for sex.

Flores has her first appearance in court on Tuesday October 10th. She’s being held with no bond.
