SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A threatening note found in a Colorado school bathroom led to an arrest on Friday.

The note was posted on a wall at Summit Middle School in Frisco. The sheriff's office is reporting school officials were able to quickly locate the 13-year-old student they believe posted it.

“The Summit County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats to the community seriously," Summit County Sheriff Jamie FitzSimmons said according to a release. "At this time, we have no reason to believe that there is a security or safety risk to students, staff or facilities. I encourage families to continue to talk with their children about safety and the importance about reporting any concerns promptly to parents, school officials, law enforcement or Safe2Tell Colorado.” Sheriff FitzSimons believes that community safety comes from communication, vigilance and education and that we all share in the responsibility to be part of the solution."

It isn't clear what charges the juvenile could face.
