Alleged DUI driver causes crash on Highway 94

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - One person is in custody after crashing his pickup while allegedly driving drunk.

The driver reportedly lost control and flipped his truck in the roadway while traveling east of the Springs just after 5:20 Saturday morning. An oncoming driver swerved to avoid the crash but ended up with some damage to their car, Trooper Josh Lewis with Colorado State Patrol said.

The crash looked "really bad" but no one suffered any injuries, Lewis told 11 News.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and for careless driving.

The crash was reported on Highway 94 near Blaney Road.
