62,000 pounds of raw beef recalled just ahead of Memorial Day weekend

Check your fridges and freezers! Another meat recall is affecting consumers around the country just ahead of a holiday weekend.

Aurora Packing Company, Inc. is recalling more than 62,000 pounds of raw beef that may be contaminated with E. coli.

The US Department of Ag's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on May 22,2019.

The meat was packaged at the Aurora Packing Company, Inc in North Aurora, Illinois on April 19, but was shipped nationwide for distribution.

The products have an establishment number "EST. 788."

E. coli can cause serious illness with symptoms including dehydration, diarrhea, and cramps. It can lead some people to suffer kidney failure.
