2nd arrest in Fountain shooting, man suspected of shooting 2 teens including a 14-year-old boy
Two teens were shot in broad daylight last Tuesday in a Fountain gas station parking lot. A week later, the police announced a second arrest in the case.
The call came in at about 12:30 p.m. on May 26 at the 7-Eleven along Mesa Ridge Parkway and Fountain Mesa Road on the north side of town.
"When officers arrived on scene they did find a 19-year-old male with serious injuries from a gunshot, at least one gunshot. And a 14-year-old male with a gunshot wound as well," said Lisa Schneider with the Fountain Police Department.
The 19-year-old suffered serious injuries, and responding officers performed life-saving measures on scene before an ambulance arrived to transport him to the hospital.
A 19-year-old victim had serious injuries and a 14-year-old has "minor" injuries. Both victims were taken to the hospital. The 14-year-old boy had been released from the hospital as of Thursday and the 19-year-old man was in stable condition.
Authorities believe Domacio Ohlsen-Aragon and a woman brought their 1-year-old child with them on a drug deal. Investigators believe Ohlsen-Aragon was the gunman.
Domacio Ohlsen-Aragon, 21, was arrested for first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and child abuse.
The woman with him was identified as Haley Spencer. Spencer was arrested on Monday and is facing charges of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, possession with intent to distribute (Marijuana) and child abuse.
While authorities believe everyone is accounted for and there is no danger to the public, they are still asking for any witnesses who have not already talked to officers to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 719-634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477.
