COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs police investigated a DUI crash Wednesday morning that sent two people to the hospital. One woman, who was a passenger in the car with the suspected drunken driver, has serious injuries.
The crash was reported around 6:40 in the 300 block of E. Brookside Street, near S. Nevada Avenue and I-25.
Roads in the area were blocked for less than an hour, but are now back open.
It was initially reported to police that the car with the potential DUI driver drove into a building, but it just crashed near the building and did not cause any structural damage.
Officers say the driver being investigated for a DUI hit another car on the road, which in turn hit a third car that was parked. That driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
