FOWLER, Colo. (KKTV) - Two people including a woman from Colorado Springs are in custody after leading a state trooper on a high-speed chase Tuesday morning.

April Jaramillo, 27, was allegedly heading westbound on Highway 50 in a stolen car when a trooper saw her and tried to pull her over. As the chase made its way down the highway towards Fowler, State Patrol says Jaramillo drove off the road into a ditch and continued heading westbound. When the car eventually returned to the highway about 7 miles west of Fowler, it collided with the State Patrol cruiser.

The trooper performed a tactical maneuver that stopped the chase for good. Jaramillo's vehicle spun out, and she and 31-year-old passenger Issac Gallegos were arrested after the car came to a complete stop.

The pair faces several felony charges. They are currently being held in the Otero County Jail.

No one was injured in the crash.
