COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A woman is facing charges after two children suffered broken bones in a car crash Sunday night.

Police say the driver tried to make a left turn from Constitution onto Chelton without yielding and crashed into an oncoming car in the intersection. There were at least two children in the first car at the time of the crash; according to police, they were not buckled in properly. One child went to the hospital with a broken collarbone and another with broken ribs.

Thirty-four-year-old Constanzia Santistevan is charged with felony child abuse.

Alcohol and speeding are not considered factors in the crash.
