Emergency crews respond to airport for health scare on plane

Emergency crews are on scene at the Colorado Springs Airport following a health scare on board a plane.

The airport received an alert late Wednesday morning that a child had stopped breathing on board an incoming plane.

First responders scrambled to the airport to be ready once the plane landed. The child started breathing again and is expected to be OK. An ambulance took the child took the ER.

The airport has not commented on what caused the child to stop breathing.

The plane was already scheduled to land in the Springs prior to the emergency.
