  • Started June 27, 5 miles east of Fort Garland
  • Burning in Costilla and Huerfano counties
  • 107,627 acres as of July 9
  • 83 percent contained as of July 11
  • Highway 160 has reopened as of June 7
  • Highway 69 is open to local traffic only. It is closed between Walsenburg and Silver Cliff to everyone else
  • Highway 12 is closed west of Trinidad in the Cuchara Valley area
  • Evacuation shelters:
  • - Blanca/Fort Garland Community Center, 17591 E. Highway 160
    - Huerfano County Community Center, 928 Russell St.
  • Cause: Human; one arrest made
