Catherine Silver

Reporter
Colorado Springs, CO

Her story begins in 2001 when her writing was first published in a book. It was a pretty big deal back then, considering she was only 9 years old. Since then, her writing has taken her on a cross-country journey.

Catherine started her career in Florida, where she was born and raised. While at Florida State University, she spent a summer in Miami working at NBC 6 South Florida where she helped tell investigative and consumer stories.

In 2014, Catherine traded the beach for the Northwoods and moved to Minnesota, where she accepted a position at a PBS owned station KAWE Lakeland News. There, she served as an Anchor/Reporter on evening broadcasts before joining the KSNB NBC Nebraska team in 2015. With more than four years of experience, she has covered local and national stories, including the controversial Keystone XL pipeline and the largest drug bust in Nebraska history.

Whether she's out in the field or on the anchor desk, Catherine loves what she's doing and she loves telling stories. Her time in Florida, Minnesota, Nebraska, and now Colorado has taught her that every story matters, and that's something that's stuck with her since leaving her home state.

In her spare time, Catherine enjoys spending time with friends, going to the movies, and listening to music. She also loves to meet new people, and is always up for traveling to new places and trying new things.
