KKTV Sports Director
Colorado Springs, CO
Taylor Kilgore joined the KKTV Sports team in March of 2016. You can catch her anchoring weeknights at 5:30 &10!
Taylor comes to Colorado after stops in California, Nashville and Nebraska. She was born and raised in Rocklin, California. She credits sports for shaping her into the person she is today. Growing up, sports weren’t just entertainment for her and her family, but a way of life. Seriously, family vacations were traveling the country for basketball tournaments. She grew up playing basketball and competing in Taekwondo. Most people don’t know that she is a second-degree black belt! Watching her brother Logan throw touchdowns is still one of her favorite things to do. He is currently a quarterback for the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos.
Taylor went to Humboldt State University on a full ride basketball scholarship, where she received a degree in Mass Communications as well as a minor in News Broadcast. She was a four-year starting shooting guard for the championship basketball team where she was named captain as well as a weight lifting All-American. At HSU, she was also able to start her career in television as the co-host for the campus sports show "Humboldt State Tonight."
Taylor and her husband Scott are happy to now call Colorado home. Scott coaches college basketball at Regis University in Denver.
Sports keep her busy, but in her spare time Taylor also loves to travel, go to concerts, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
