Police: Shoplifting suspect sprays mace at loss prevention officers while fleeing Colorado Springs Walmart

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A shoplifting suspect sprayed mace at Walmart loss prevention officers while fleeing the store with an armful of stolen merchandise.

According to the store, the loss prevention officers were trying to stop the woman from leaving.

“One of the loss prevention specialists sustained injuries during the incident,” CSPD said.

The woman was then able to drive off with the stolen items.

Police were called to the scene, but at the time of this writing have not located the suspect. The Walmart is located in the 1500 block of Space Center Drive near Palmer Park Boulevard.
