Police investigating shooting as accidental in northeast Colorado Springs, juvenile hospitalized

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs Police say they are responding to a confirmed shooting near North Academy and Vickers as of about 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
Officers on scene say they received a call at around 8:30 p.m. to the 3900 block of Loma Vista Lane, at the Heritage at Hidden Creek Apartment Complex.
According to officials, a juvenile was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital. As of Wednesday night, that person’s condition was unknown.
At this time police say this incident is being investigated as an accidental shooting. No suspect information was available as of Wednesday night.
