Teenager’s body recovered after rafting incident on Colorado River

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A teenager’s body was recovered after a rafting incident on the Colorado River.

On Saturday, The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Colorado River between Burns and McCoy after a teenager was separated from a family member when their boat capsized. The teenager’s body was later found, and was wearing a life jacket.

The cause of death, and victim’s name, has not yet been released. We will update this article as we learn more.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is working with several agencies to respond to a reported rafting accident on the Colorado River between Burns and McCoy. Crews are currently searching for an unaccounted person.
