Cañon City turns 150 years old

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A city in Colorado began celebrating an important milestone on Saturday.

Cañon City turned 150 years old, and the community began its celebration with fireworks. During the 150th Jubilee, the community honored the city’s history, including the city’s incorporation on April 2, 1872.

The celebration included a fireworks display, but the city’s website shows that this is only the beginning. There are other celebrations planned all year long, including a concert in September.
