COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Select Safeway stores in Colorado are staying open late on Friday nights to offer a wider time range for people to come in and get their COVID-19 vaccine.

About 25% of Colorado Safeway stores are participating. These Southern Colorado stores will be open until 10 p.m. June 11th, 18th, and 25th:

  • 1121 N. Circle Dr. Colorado Springs
  • 8750 N. Union Blvd Colorado Springs
  • 6925 Mesa Ridge Parkway Fountain
  • 1017 Market Plaza North Pueblo West

Just to provide additional access for patients and individuals who may not be able to get into a retail pharmacy, or a clinic, or a doctor’s, you know, some of the normal means of getting a vaccine,” said Safeway Pharmacy Director Nikki Price.

Walk-in’s are welcome, but you can also choose to make an appointment on Safeway’s website.

Customers who come in to get vaccinated during the extended hours will get a 20% off coupon for their next Safeway purchase.

Safeway’s website has information on all their stores and which ones are offering extended hours for vaccination.
