PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A surveillance camera captured the moment a woman appears to be attacked before her dog was snatched.

The crime happened on May 23 in Pueblo at about 9:50 in the morning. A woman named Molly was walking her puppy along Evans Avenue when you can see a car pull up next to her off the street. Someone gets out of the car, approaches Molly and the dog, then the confrontation unfolds. You can watch the video at the top of this article.

“The female told the officers that she heard a female yell from the vehicle, ordering her (the victim) to give her (the female in the vehicle) dog back,” Capt. Kenny Rider with the Pueblo Police Department wrote in a release. “The victim explained that the two females exited the vehicle, assaulted her, and stole her dog. The victim reported that the females got back into the vehicle with her dog and sped off.”

Police say the victims are described as two women, black, one police say was “heavy-set” with purple hair, and the other was wearing a white shirt.

The suspects got away with the dog, a pitbull named Roxy.
