COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A convicted felon is back behind bars after leading police on an early-morning foot chase.

Officers with Colorado Springs Gold Hill Division responded to a call from a woman who said her husband had assaulted her. It happened on Pikes Peak Ave., near Memorial Park shortly before 6 a.m., Wednesday morning. She warned officers that he had a gun in his pocket and was following her.

When police arrived in the area, the suspect ran away, but was located in a residential backyard. That’s when officers say he reached into his waistband. Police ordered the suspect to the ground at gunpoint, and he attempted to run away again, but gave up after being surrounded.

Narcisso Blea was identified as the suspect and found to have drugs, a holster, and a bullet in his possession. Officers searched the area and found the gun he had been reaching for. Blea is a previously convicted felon on parole who is wanted on three felony warrants. He was arrested without further incident.
