Suspect sought after a fire was set outside the judicial building in Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Authorities believe someone intentionally set a fire outside the Dennis Maes Judicial building in Pueblo.
The crime happened at about 4:30 in the morning on Tuesday. A detention specialist noticed the fire in the north parking lot of 501 N. Elizabeth St. A deputy had to use a fire extinguisher to get the blaze out before firefighters got to the scene. Investigators believe about $1,200 worth of damage was done.
The suspect is only identified as having a “thin build” with dark hair. He was wearing a yellow shirt, black pants and white shoes at the time of the crime.
“I want to commend the detention specialist and the detention deputies for their awareness and quick action in responding to this incident,” said Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk M. Taylor. “Their quick response prevented the fire from further spreading and causing additional damage and destruction.”
