COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - 11 News obtained the arrest papers for, Jacob Sedillo, the suspect who reportedly shot a Colorado Springs police officer Friday night.

According to those arrest documents, Officer Bergstreser was the officer involved in the shooting and contacted two motorcyclists in the parking lot of the AutoZone near N. Nevada Avenue and E. Fillmore Street. Arrest papers say the motorcycles were not registered and when Officer Bergstreser went back to his car and ran the information, he found Sedillo had an active felony warrant for his arrest.

The charging document goes on to state Sedillo got back on his motorcycle and started the engine when the officer ran toward him and tried to pull him off the bike when a struggle ensued.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect get off the bike and pull a gun from his right hip, point it at the officer, then fired.

The documents say Officer Bergstreser retreated when Sedillo continued firing. Sedillo then reportedly got back on his bike and left the scene.

Arrest papers say the suspect fired at the officer 4-5 times and was taken to the hospital with a fractured arm, a gunshot wound to his right side, and a graze wound to his right shoulder.

Sedillo reportedly has three active felony arrest warrants; two for failure to comply with community corrections, a probation supervision organization, and one for aggravated vehicle theft.
