SAN ANGELO, Tex. (KKTV) - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs baseball team rallied but fell short in their second game of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament Friday, losing 7-6 to West Texas A&M. With the loss, UCCS is eliminated from postseason play.

The four-hour game between No. 5 Buffs and No. 24 Mountain Lions took nearly four hours and was delayed twice from inclement weather. UCCS rallied from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game in the 6th inning, but surrendered two more runs in the 7th.

UCCS finishes their trailblazing season 30-13, becoming the first team to reach the NCAA Regional Tournament and the first to win an RMAC Tournament title in program history.,
