COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -

Colorado State Patrol sent out the following press release on a rollover crash Saturday morning. One person died:

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 25 near mile marker 116 in Pueblo County, Colorado. The crash occurred on January 2, 2021 at approximately 8:30 AM north of the city of Pueblo.

A 1999 Ford Expedition was traveling south on Interstate 25 when it lost control and went off the right side of the road. The vehicle traveled up an embankment, through a fence and rolled into a field. The passenger, who was unrestrained, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced as deceased at the scene. The passenger’s name will be released upon notification of the next-of-kin.

The driver was identified as Mark Hairie, a 42 year old male from Pueblo, CO. He suffered minor injuries and was released from the scene. Charges for Mr. Hairie will be filed with the local District Attorney’s office pending further investigation of the crash. Excessive speed, drugs or alcohol are not suspected as contributing factors at this time. The crash remains under investigation.

One person has died in a rollover crash on I-25, according to Colorado State Patrol. According to the Pueblo Coroner, the victim was 35-year-old Amanda Lynn Adams.

Adam reportedly died at the scene from injuries from the crash.

They say the call came in at around 8:30 Saturday morning.

It happened near Exit 116, around three miles south of Fountain.

CSP says multiple vehicles were involved, but they weren’t sure how many. A passenger in one of the cars died, and a medical helicopter was ordered for one of the drivers.

CSP says drivers should expect slower speeds and some traffic while they investigate the scene.
