NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO SPRINGS - RSV

Dr. Craig Loerzel with Dublin Primary Care reports lots of RSV in young children.

The primary symptom is wheezing. There may also be a cough and fever.

RSV lasts anywhere from 7 to 21 days.

Sometimes inhaled or oral asthma-type medicines may help your child breath easier.

Keep in mind, severe cases may require hospitalization.

NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO SPRINGS - Severe Bronchitis

Dr. Peter Clothier with Dublin Primary Care says, he's seeing a terrible bronchitis in adults.

Bronchitis often follows a respiratory infection, such as a cold. Your chest starts to feel sore and you develop a cough. Later, you might get the chills or a slight fever.

Most cases of acute bronchitis disappear within a few days without lasting effects, although coughs may linger for weeks.

In this case, Dr. Clothier says the cough is lasting 6 to 8 weeks, and is actually turning in to pneumonia in some patients.

You'll want to see your health care provider for recommended treatment.
